SRA Regattas

  • Regatta Directions


    For GPS - enter 543 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY (this is the SRA Boathouse).  Instead of turning into our driveway, continue over the cement bridge and take your next left.

    Alternate directions -good for early morning when coming from South - take Exit 12 - and follow Route 67 East to Route 9 North.  Route 9 North is at the 3rd rotary.  Take a left onto Route 9 North to the intersection with Route 9P (Ripe Tomato Restaurant will be on your right - 2+ miles).  Take a right onto Route 9P and follow it around the lake until you get to the Route 9P bridge and Lee's Park and the parking lot will be on your right.

  • Saratoga Invitational

    On the last weekend of April, an east coast Clash of the Titans, the Saratoga invitational is a similar opening regatta to the Crew Classic of the West coast.  With over 1200 entries, this regatta provides the invited crews the opportunity to race several times over the weekend in 1500 meter racing.


  • NYS Collegiate Rowing Championships

  • JrB/C Championships

    The North American Jr B/C Championships is a regatta specifically designed for the youngest age groups of our sport.  Encouraging sculling at the entry levels, this regatta features 7th-10th grade age groups.



  • NYS Championships

    New York State Scholastic Championships are held the second weekend of May. With over 80 New York teams and 550 boats competing, the NY State Championships is one of the largest state championships for rowing.  This regatta is held on Saturday and Sunday and qualifies its fastest crews to the USRowing Youth Invitational Regatta as well as the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championships.


  • Tail of the Fish

    Tail of the Fish is a Fall season opening regatta.  It is held on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The Tail of the Fish typically attracts 300 boats and is held on the Last Saturday in September.



  • Head of the Fish

    Held on the Last weekend of October, Head of the Fish is one of the largest regattas in the country. The Head of the Fish attracts over 160 teams and 1600 crews from across the northeast and features the countries most unique trophies.
